Virginia was educated at Rochester Institute of Technology at the School for American Craftsmen with a B.F.A. in metal crafts and jewelry making. Virginia has a small studio at her residence in Cranston, RI where she works designing her line of sterling jewelry. Her line is all genuine sterling silver, 14k gold, and semi-precious stones combined in a unique way in her own distinctive style. Each high quality piece is designed and hand-crafted by the artist. The main technique she uses is to make an original model out of carved or molded wax, or fabricated metal, and then have them molded and cast in sterling silver. The pieces can then be used in a variety of combinations and in conjunction with many types of sterling chains and semiprecious beads and fresh-water pearls.
Virginia's fine jewelry has a modern sculptural spiritual feel. By designing jewelry, Virginia strives to contribute to the beauty that is an integral part of our daily lives. She is inspired by antiquity and by modern designs. Her work is an expression of the juxtaposition of these two opposing elements.
